Service Project Manager

Seize this opportunity as a Service Senior Project Manager for Grid Automation Systems for High & Medium voltage Substations. In this key exciting role, you'll be based in Stone, Staffordshire where you will take ownership and personal accountability for project managing the commercial, contractual aspects with a high attention to detail. You will enjoy a high level of engagement with the wider team and external stakeholders. The culture is a fast-paced environment where no 2 days are the same. You'll co-ordinate, multi-task and manage every detail of the prestigious portfolio of projects from implementation through to final completion and customer sign off.

The Role

• Implementing projects within the area of Substation Automation Service.
• Manage the assigned projects from the initial handover from sales to the successful completion of all on-site work.
• Coordinate an international project team and oversee the efficient use of allocated resources.
• As the key point of contact, you will embrace an open and proactive approach to communication in your efforts to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Drawing on your business expertise, you will manage the customer contract and take full responsibility for all commercial and contractual aspects of the project.

Your Background

• Proven track record in project management, your credentials will include the ability to integrate into the wider Power Grids team.
• Certifications in project management (IPMA, PMI, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• self-motivated approach and team spirit and well-developed leadership skills.
• Preference is that the successful candidate will be proficient in both technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering as well as business-related experience.
• Preference In-depth knowledge of fundamental power system design and operation.
• Preference Knowledge of the fundamentals of control & protection systems as well as an appreciation for IT systems; networking, virtualization and cyber-security.
