For new Consultants, we have a structured Academy programme to give you the best introduction to the recruitment industry. With input from leading industry experts, we’ll help you master your craft to set you on the road to success. In addition to any formal training you undertake, all of our Consultants at all levels receive regular tailored desk coaching sessions and masterclasses from our in-house experts to share their knowledge, best practice and top tips.

The entire team also has regular one to ones with their line manager to further support personal development to help you meet your career and personal goals, with new and aspiring managers being welcomed onto our leadership programme to support them to leading engaged, high performing teams.

Day in the Life at Vantage

As a recruitment consultant at Vantage, no two days are the same. Every day brings new opportunities and challenges. To be successful you need to be resilient, ambitious, organised and a great communicator.

To get the lowdown on life at Vantage, we caught up with one of our valued team members, Joe Malkin, to share his insights on a typical day in the life of a recruitment consultant.

I look back now and wonder what things would have been like if I hadn't taken a gamble. I joined Vantage back in 2011, after working for a rival agency. After much deliberation I came to Vantage as a consultant where I was given the task of building out the web and software permanent division across the Midlands and Northwest. After 5 promotions, I'm pleased to say that I've never once looked back. I'm now an Associate Director, who's responsible for our UK permanent division across IT and Engineering.
