We’re thrilled to announce that our Vantage team has smashed their charity target and raised a whopping £1570 for Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital this quarter.
To raise this amazing amount, the team has completed a long and chilly trek up Mount Snowdon, battled it out in a ping pong tournament and eaten their body weight in food for a Man vs Food contest; all in the name of charity.
Our fundraising efforts haven’t gone unnoticed either. Birmingham Mail recently featured our fundraising efforts in a feature for their Community News section, which named us one of the hospital’s ‘Dedicated Charity Champions’. It’s fantastic that our team’s hard work, enthusiasm and dedication has been acknowledged, particularly when this charity is one that is so close to many of our employee’s hearts.
With over 90,000 patient visits every year from the West Midlands and beyond, Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital is the UK’s leading specialist paediatric centre and provides sick children and their families with invaluable expert care and support. The hospital is a global centre of excellence for complex heart conditions and the treatment of burns, cancer and liver and kidney disease, as well as being a nationally designated specialist centre for epilepsy surgery and paediatric major trauma. It’s also home to one of the largest child and adolescent mental health services in the UK and a national liver and small bowel transplant centre.
All of the money we raised during our various fundraising events will provide the hospital with the funds they need to continue providing sick children with the best possible care and will also support its pioneering research into various childhood illnesses. We're so glad that we can help them to continue their work, particularly during the on-going pandemic.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone, who took the time to sponsor our team and make a donation to this fantastic cause. We’d also like to thank our charity dream team for organising such amazing fundraising activities for us all to take part in-, particularly when faced with the challenge of social distancing restrictions. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us all this year!
