BMS Design Engineer - Join a Business That's Actually Growing

My client is a growing and forward-thinking business shaping the future of BMS and Energy Management systems-and they're looking for a strong BMS Design Engineer to join the team.

This role involves delivering detailed BMS designs and helping shape project engineering strategies on medium to large-scale projects. You'll need a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and be comfortable taking ownership of the design from start to finish.

You'll be responsible for:

• Interpreting specifications and developing full BMS system designs

• Producing panel and hardware layouts, software strategies, and graphics

• Defining installation and commissioning scope

• Supporting with technical pre-sales, if needed

We're looking for someone who:

• Knows their way around BMS design and delivery from spec to handover

• Has hands-on experience with systems like Siemens, Trend, Honeywell, etc.

• Can work independently and problem-solve on complex jobs

• Understands how buildings actually work, mechanically and electrically

• Is confident in software architecture, panel design, and integration

• Ideally has experience leading small engineering teams or coordinating with subbies

Requirements:

• HNC or above in a relevant field

• Proven industry experience across building automation and controls

• Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, BMS, power control and stand-alone systems

• Comfortable carrying out site surveys on live plant

• Good communication skills able to work with clients and suppliers alike
