As part of the Electrical Design team, you will work within the electrical design and critical power group specifically across Data Centres and be mentored by the Engineering Team, developing all aspects of electrical services for data centre design and build.
Working with the latest data centre technologies, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a Senior/Lead role with the future opportunity of development into management roles.

This will be an office based role working in a collaborative environment, there will be flexible and some hybrid working available depending on the experience of the candidate and where required but ideally this will be a site based role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Production of data centre electrical design information for mission critical services including; LV Distribution, Generator & UPS systems.
  • Specification of mission critical electrical engineering services.
  • Electrical schematic and layout drawings for construction using AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Electrical design calculations using Amtech.
  • Studies on data centre and sustainable systems for projects.
  • Lighting design using Dialux.
  • Condition surveys and writing engineering reports.
  • Dealing with engineering and project technical related issues.
  • Attending Design Team meetings and workshops.
  • Construction stage activities including site monitoring, inspections.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Qualifications in electrical engineering or similar - HNC/HND or BEng (Hons)/MSc, MEng in Electrical, Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience working within Data Centre design previoulsy
  • Willing to travel when required (around 10-20% across the UK)
  • Experience with Amtech/ Dialux / Revit
