Electrical Design Engineer - Special Purpose Machinery

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for bespoke automation and machinery projects

• Create detailed electrical schematics, cable schedules, and panel layouts using EPLAN P8

• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and software engineers for system integration

• Ensure compliance with machinery safety standards and electrical regulations

• Produce technical documentation, BOMs, and support build/commissioning teams

• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and design verification activities

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience in electrical design for automation or special purpose machinery

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with EPLAN P8

• Proven background working on safety-critical projects in automotive, pharma, or food & beverage industries

• In-depth understanding of EN 60204-1 and machinery safety regulations

• Ability to deliver high-quality documentation for manufacturing and commissioning

• Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of ISO 13849 or IEC 62061 (functional safety standards)

• Experience with Siemens or Mitsubishi PLC hardware integration

• Site commissioning or panel build support background
