Operations Director (Mechanical Fire)

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Operations Director to take the lead in our Mechanical Fire Installs (Kent) division on an intial 3-6 month contract. You'll be managing a growing £15M business unit that spans key fire suppression services across industrial sites - including sprinkler systems, wet risers, and associated fire protection equipment.

You'll work with established and specialist fire brands delivering full-system fire safety solutions across complex industrial environments.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading daily operations and project delivery for fire suppression system installs across the South

• Overseeing direct and subcontracted engineering teams to ensure timely, high-quality installations

• Driving integration across group brands to create a seamless end-to-end fire safety service

• Managing customer programs and commercial risk while delivering to budget and KPIs

• Championing a culture of safety, service excellence, and operational innovation

• Proven leadership in sprinkler system installations, ideally in senior ops or director-level roles

• Strong track record in managing engineering teams and multi-million-pound contracts

• Experience driving change, leading through integration, and building a high-performance culture

• Commercial awareness with sound financial reporting, risk mitigation, and client management skills

• Able to roll up your sleeves, lead from the front, and coach teams to deliver exceptional service
