Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential equipment within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and inspection of plant and equipment.

• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions to minimise downtime.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Relevant Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Full UK Driving License.

• Proven experience working within the water sector (clean or wastewater).

• Strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6-month initial contract (possible extension).

• Rate: £300-350 (outside IR35).
