E&I Technician (Contract)

We are recruiting for an experienced E&I Technician, ideally with an electrical bias, to support ongoing operations at a process manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and instrumentation repairs, maintenance, and inspections in hazardous areas.

• Work to IEC60079 parts 14 & 17 standards, ensuring compliance with ATEX regulations.

• Support fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical and instrumentation systems.

• Deliver safe and reliable maintenance in both gas and dust classified areas.

• Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals.

• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant safety standards and company procedures.

Key Requirements

• Time-served E&I Technician (electrically biased preferred).

• CompEx certification (gas & dust) - in date and covering IEC60079 parts 14 & 17.

• 18th Edition wiring regulations.

• Strong background in hazardous area electrical and instrumentation work.

• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work unsupervised.

• Team player with strong communication skills.

Contract Details

• Length: 6 months initially (strong likelihood of extension).

• Rate: £45-£50 per hour, Outside IR35.

• Location: Ellesmere Port.
