Job Title(s)

• Power Electronics Engineer

What Will This Person Be Doing?

• Design, build, and test reference designs (buck, boost, LLC, half-bridge, motor drive, etc.) that showcase their MOSFET devices.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, and application notes that customers can replicate to evaluate our parts.
• Perform system-level trade-off analysis, including component selection and optimization for efficiency, thermal, and reliability.
• Collaborate with device engineers and customers to validate performance in real-world use cases.
• Provide technical input to marketing and customer-facing teams on application strengths and design considerations.
• Present and demonstrate designs internally and externally, including at customer sites or conferences.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with switch-mode power supply (SMPS) or motor drive design.
• Strong understanding of common topologies (buck, boost, LLC, half-/full-bridge) and their trade-offs.
• Ability to design and select power-stage components (magnetics, MOSFETs, drivers, capacitors, etc.).
• Practical, build-and-test engineering approach - comfortable moving from schematic to board bring-up.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and lab equipment for validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Magnetics design experience.
• Digital control / embedded firmware for power supplies.

Target Salary

• $110,000 - $190,000

Core Hours: 08:00am - 17:00pm (EDT)
