BMS Commissioning engineer

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with hands-on experience in Trend or Siemens systems to play a key role in delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions.

As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for commissioning, testing, and handing over Building Management Systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure all systems perform efficiently, reliably, and in line with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and configure control programs into BMS controllers

• Conduct point-to-point checks to verify correct device operation

• Test and optimise control sequences and alarm functions

• Integrate the BMS with HVAC, fire alarm, and other building systems

• Troubleshoot wiring, software, and communication issues

• Adjust control settings to enhance system performance

• Complete commissioning and testing documentation

• Provide operator training and system handover support

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven knowledge of Trend or Siemens BMS systems

• Experience producing and managing a programme of works

• Valid CSCS/ECS site card

• Understanding of contract and sub-contract principles (advantageous)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude

• Team player with a positive approach to work
