We are a small specialist contractor providing mission-critical power and cooling installation and maintenance services to commercial and public sector clients. Most of our work is within live data centres and server rooms, covering both service support and project delivery.

The role

This is a hands-on project management role. You will take a fully costed project from creation and manage it through to completion. This includes design change management, planning and programming, site execution, client liaison and reporting, site supervision, contractor control, commercial control, commissioning and production of O&M manuals.

This is a sharp-end role and you must be comfortable working in live, mission-critical environments where planning, sequencing and risk control are essential.

Technical background

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in electrical, cooling or mechanical systems associated with mission-critical M&E. You will need to be technically capable yourself, not just coordinating others, and able to understand what is happening on site.

Our work

Nearly all of our projects start from Stage 3 specification level or are developed from scratch. Almost all work is delivered directly for end users or through partner clients

Typical projects include UPS replacements and no-break changeovers, chiller replacements on live data centres, busbar and LV/HV distribution upgrades, CRAC and in-row cooling replacements, direct-to-chip cooling installations, modular data centre builds, generator and switchgear upgrades, and power and cooling upgrades for public sector facilities.

Project values range from small upgrades through to multi-megawatt installations.

Additional information

We also provide white-label support in the UK for a range of cooling equipment, from small chillers through to 1.5MW systems, as well as CRAC units.

The right person will be organised, technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable dealing directly with clients. You must be able to work independently and take full ownership of your projects.
