BMS Automation Engineer

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled BMS Automation Engineer to join a growing and well established engineering team on a static site in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in building management systems who enjoys problem solving, working with modern control systems, and delivering high quality service to commercial and industrial clients. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising critical building systems while working in a supportive environment that values technical expertise and career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS systems including Trend, Tridium and similar platforms

• Diagnose and resolve faults across existing BMS infrastructure on commercial and industrial sites

• Perform software updates, controller reconfigurations and control strategy adjustments

• Monitor and optimise building energy performance using BMS analytics and system data

• Produce detailed service and fault-finding reports following site visits

• Respond to reactive maintenance callouts in a professional and timely manner

• Modify and upgrade BMS hardware and control panels as site requirements evolve

• Work closely with clients and site managers to explain system performance and recommend improvements

Skills and Experience

• Experience servicing or maintaining BMS and control systems within the construction or building services sector

• Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend or Siemens

• Valid CSCS or ECS site card

• Full UK or EU driving licence

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
