Overview

We are supporting a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organisation with a requirement for an experienced DeltaV Specialist to support the commissioning phase of a major project.

This role requires a strong background in DeltaV configuration and software engineering, and is not limited to loop checking activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery and startup of process control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the commissioning and startup of DeltaV systems within a GMP-regulated environment
• Perform and review DeltaV configuration, including modules, phases, and equipment modules
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system and software-related issues during commissioning
• Collaborate with engineering, validation, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Execute and support testing activities (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ as required)
• Ensure all work complies with GxP and industry standards
• Provide technical input and documentation to support system handover

Key Requirements

• Proven experience working with Emerson DeltaV systems
• Strong background in configuration and control system software engineering
• Demonstrable experience supporting commissioning activities on complex projects
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify live systems in a controlled manner
• Experience working in pharmaceutical or biotech environments (highly desirable)
• Strong understanding of GMP / GxP compliance

Desirable Skills

• Experience with batch processes and S88 standards
• Previous involvement in large-scale capital projects
• Familiarity with validation lifecycle documentation
