Tendering Engineer

Are you our next Tendering Engineer?

A leading global organisation has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a well-established team as a Tendering Engineer. You will work within the Tendering Team to produce quotations for medium voltage products, ensuring customer expectations are met while achieving and exceeding quotation lead times and conversion rates.

What you will be doing:

• Produce tenders as required based on departmental workload
• Review technical enquiries and identify those suitable for standard pricing
• Collaborate with external sales teams to support and execute strategies during the project identification phase
• Maintain and update standard quotation and pricing tools to reflect market needs
• Review and approve tender pricing and costing estimates, submitting for management approval in line with processes
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigation for relevant tenders and include these in approval requests
• Verify that all orders received align with the quotation before handover to contracts

• Strong commercial awareness of customers and their business drivers
• Solid technical knowledge, including awareness of competitor offerings and current technologies
• Proven experience in contract administration and proposal management
• Understanding of manufacturing and procurement strategies and capabilities
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage contract changes
• Willingness to develop knowledge of commercial terms and conditions
• Awareness of cross-functional departmental roles and interactions
