Electrical design engineer
London 40 - 45 Contract
Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centre Projects (Outside IR35, London, £45ph)
I am representing my client, a leading consultancy in the data centre sector, in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
Location: London (Hybrid possible)
Rate: £45 per hour (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months+
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in electrical design for data centre projects
- Strong proficiency in Amtech (Trimble ProDesign) for electrical calculations
- Experience with LV & MV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical infrastructure
- Ability to produce schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings
- Knowledge of relevant BS 7671, IEC, and other industry standards
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows
- Understanding of earthing, lightning protection, and SCADA/BMS systems
- Strong stakeholder communication and ability to work autonomously
