Contract Outline:

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Sector: Gas / Wastewater
Location: Macclesfield (hybrid working)
Contract Length: 12-months
Outside IR35
Rate: £50ph

Role Overview:

The design of mechanical systems for the gas / water utilities sector, for feasibility, conceptual and detailed designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing Feasibility, Conceptual and Detailed Design documents.
• Produce Design drawings using AutoCAD 2D and 3D software.
• Preparing design packs for internal and external client reviews.
• Producing designs in accordance with the relevant client and onshore gas network design codes, regulations, specifications and procedures.
• Review other design disciplines to ensure project alignment.
• Working in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015.
• Attending and participating in internal and external meetings to review designs.

Key Skills / Quals:

• Mechanical (or similar) Engineering degree.
• Gas design experience is essential.
• AutoCAD experience is preferential.
• G/17 G/35 Approver / Appraiser is preferential.
