A forward-thinking and rapidly growing smart buildings company is seeking an experienced BMS Estimator to join its dynamic team. This is not your typical controls contractor role - we design and deliver tailored, tech-driven solutions that go beyond standard BMS installations, integrating IoT technologies, advanced analytics, and bespoke platforms developed in-house.
This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects across the UK and internationally, where creativity, collaboration, and innovation are at the core of everything we do.
As a key part of the team, you'll work alongside technical and commercial departments to design, price, and propose bespoke BMS and smart building solutions. You'll carry out engineering site surveys, produce detailed cost estimates, and deliver compelling proposals that meet and exceed client expectations.
Develop and deliver accurate BMS quotations and project estimates
Design and present tailored proposals for smart building projects
Carry out engineering surveys on client sites
Work closely with sales and engineering teams to align technical solutions with customer needs
Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends
Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, FM providers, and contractors
Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Present and demonstrate solutions to clients with confidence and clarity
Maintain bid documentation, forecasts, and reporting on sales activity
Support internal communications and induction presentations for new starters
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
In-depth understanding of BMS systems, IoT, and smart building technologies
Proven experience delivering detailed BMS tenders and project proposals
Strong commercial awareness and ability to tailor technical solutions to client needs
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage your own schedule
UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK (and occasionally in Europe)
Passion for innovation and a desire to push technological boundaries
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Holiday: 25 days per year (plus public holidays)
Pension: 3% contribution after 3 months
