We are looking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused BMS Account Manager to join our team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and playing a key role in driving business growth within the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) sector.
As a BMS Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, respond to enquiries, and ensure a high-quality end-to-end service. Alongside account management, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, forecasting project pipelines, and producing detailed technical and commercial proposals.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing and developing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, estimating projects, and collaborating with internal delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes. You will also play an active role in leading commercial initiatives, supporting marketing and customer engagement activities, and conducting regular client reviews to identify opportunities for growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and developing key customer accounts
Acting as the main point of contact for client enquiries and requirements
Delivering an outstanding end-to-end customer experience
Achieving sales targets and agreed performance objectives
Forecasting order intake values and project timelines
Estimating projects and producing detailed technical proposals
Developing new business opportunities with consultants, contractors, and end users
Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
Acting as a liaison between clients and internal engineering and delivery teams
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a commercial or account management role, ideally within the BMS or BEMS sector, who is confident working independently and building relationships at all levels. You will be customer-focused, proactive, and motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in technology and innovation.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in a similar commercial or account management role with a strong track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong relationship-building ability and a customer-first mindset
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
A flexible, self-motivated, and proactive approach
A genuine passion for technology and innovation
A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience within the BEMS / BMS industry
Relevant technical qualifications (electrical and/or mechanical preferred)
