Job Title: MES Engineer - PAS-X

Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Rate: £60-£80 per hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced MES Engineer with hands-on PAS-X expertise to support a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Cork. This is a fully onsite role, requiring candidates who are able and willing to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and develop electronic batch records (eBR) using PAS-X
- Perform workflow configuration using MBR Designer and related PAS-X tools
- Support validation activities including FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ
- Assist with integration between MES and systems such as SAP and DeltaV/PLCs
- Provide shopfloor MES support during live batch execution
- Troubleshoot workflow, master data, and system interface issues
- Support change control processes, deviations, and SOP documentation
- Contribute to system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 4-8 years of MES experience within pharma or biotech environments
- Strong hands-on experience with PAS-X configuration
- Proven experience in eBR design and workflow configuration
- Experience supporting MES in live manufacturing environments
- Good understanding of GMP environments and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with validation processes (CSV lifecycle, IQ/OQ, FAT/SAT)
- Knowledge of ISA-88 / ISA-95 principles is advantageous
