The Role
My client is seeking an experienced Control Engineer to join their high performance team and after 1-2 years in the UK, relocate to the US to lead the build out an Engineering team in North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, configuring and, commissioning control systems
• Communicating with customers and translating their requirements into functional design specifications
• Testing, debugging, and performance tuning
• Maintaining and supporting existing systems
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders
• Out-of-hours support (evenings and weekends, after probationary period)
• On-site commissioning work (typically during the week and in the UK but including weekends and overseas)
• After 1-2 years, relocating to the US to establish, train, and build out a permanent engineering presence on the North American continent

Experience:

• Have 7+ years of experience configuring and commissioning control systems
• Demonstrate familiarity with SCADA systems
• Be available for on-site commissioning work (mainly UK, occasional overseas)
• Be willing to work from the Nottingham office five days per week for the first 1-2 years and then relocate to the US to build an Engineering team in North America
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

• PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi)
• Electrical engineering experience
• Knowledge of Windows Server and PCs
• Additional programming experience (specifically C, C++, or C#)
• SQL Server database
• Experience in the feed and grain industry
