BMS Service/ commissioning engineer

The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, delivering high-quality commissioning and integration of Building Management Systems.

You'll be a key part of ensuring systems are installed, tested, and optimised to meet client requirements, while also helping building operators get the most from their systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing and connecting BMS hardware and field devices

• Loading and configuring control programs into BMS controllers

• Carrying out point-to-point checks to confirm device operation

• Testing control sequences, alarms, and integration with HVAC, fire alarms, and other services

• Troubleshooting wiring, software, and communication issues

• Fine-tuning control settings to improve system performance

• Producing commissioning and testing documentation

• Providing training to building operators on system usage

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of Tridium or Trend BMS systems

• Experience creating and managing a programme of works

• Valid CSCS/ECS site card

• Familiarity with different forms of contracts and sub-contracts (advantageous)

• Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and a positive team-focused attitude
