Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a highly innovative engineering and manufacturing business delivering advanced technical solutions for complex industrial environments.

The successful candidate will support the design, development, and delivery of specialist electrical systems, working across the full project lifecycle from concept through to manufacturing and customer support.

This role would suit an engineer with a strong electrical design background who enjoys hands-on technical problem solving within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from concept through to manufacturing handover
• Produce electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation
• Support development of new products and engineering improvements
• Assist with customer support, technical queries, and product integration
• Provide technical support to production and operations teams
• Support preparation of quotations and technical proposals
• Assist with operating and maintenance documentation
• Work to company engineering standards, procedures, and quality systems
• Mentor junior engineering staff where required

Technical Experience Required

• Electrical power distribution systems
• Motors, drives, and soft starters
• Wiring diagrams and schematics
• Control systems and instrumentation
• Communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS232, RS485, SPI, and I²C
• Fibre optic systems and telemetry
• AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar CAD packages
• Microsoft Office

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience within an engineering design environment
• Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience preferred
• Offshore, subsea, or highly regulated industry experience beneficial
